Dedicated Processing Units & Streamlining Measures on General Building Plan Processing
The Buildings Department (BD) has always been exploring measures to facilitate early approval of general building plans (GBP). BD has recently promulgated the formation of Dedication Processing Units in BD in Circular Letter dated 15 March 2023, introduced further streamlining measures on staged submissions of essential information in GBP for approval under the Buildings Ordinance in the Practice Notice for Authorized Persons, Registered Structural Engineers and Registered Geotechnical Engineers (PNAP) ADM-19 and PNAP ADV-33, and simplified the supporting information required for application for exemption/modification of certain provisions under the Buildings Ordinance and allied regulations in PNAP ADM-2.
