The Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (2024 Edition) (the Code) has been issued in August 2024 by the Buildings Department (BD) to incorporate various amendments made in December 2023 and August 2024. The Buildings Department (BD) has always been exploring measures to facilitate early approval of general building plans (GBP). BD has recently promulgated the formation of Dedication Processing Units in BD in Circular Letter dated 15 March 2023, introduced further streamlining measures on staged submissions of essential information in GBP for approval under the Buildings Ordinance in the Practice Notice for Authorized Persons, Registered Structural Engineers and Registered Geotechnical Engineers (PNAP) ADM-19 and PNAP ADV-33, and simplified the supporting information required for application for exemption/modification of certain provisions under the Buildings Ordinance and allied regulations in PNAP ADM-2.
